Sign-On Bonus Job Overview The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
delivers professional nursing care to residents of all ages in a
long-term care setting, under the guidance of a registered nurse,
advanced practice provider, or physician. The LPN applies nursing
principles relevant to the clinical environment and demonstrates
proficiency in nursing practices. This role involves utilizing
appropriate standards tailored to the physical and psychosocial
needs of residents as outlined in their care plans. Key
responsibilities include: Ensuring the health, comfort, and safety
of residents. Assisting in resident assessments and administering
prescribed medications or treatments. Providing technical support
to healthcare professionals as necessary. Documenting interactions
with residents and outcomes related to their care, medication,
behavior, activities, and dietary needs. Building and maintaining
effective relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and
the community. Collaborating effectively as part of an
interdisciplinary care team. Communicating clearly while
maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Advising
residents and their families on prevention and treatment plans
under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. Applying
knowledge of resident education principles to create self-care
programs. Performing additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Completion of an accredited practical nursing
program as a Licensed Practical Nurse; an associate degree in
practical nursing is preferred. If the role requires IV
therapy/management skills, candidates must have graduated from a
Board-approved AASPN program that includes IV therapy in the
curriculum or completed an IV Therapy course sanctioned by the
North Dakota Board of Nursing. Must have participated in a
pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical
experience across the lifespan or possess a minimum of 400 hours of
experience as an LPN in another facility. Additional education,
training, or experience may be required for specific
services/positions. Must hold an unencumbered LPN license from the
State Nursing Board and/or have multi-state licensure privileges.
Must obtain and maintain necessary department-specific competencies
and certifications, including completing required annual continuing
education units (CEUs) and competency training. Benefits Our
