This position offers a unique 26-week annual schedule with a high-acuity cardiac case mix and a team-based care model.Position Highlights:26-week position annuallySchedule structured as 26 weeks on with call and 26 weeks completely offConfigurable scheduling options including one week on/one week off or two weeks on/two weeks offMonday through Sunday daytime coverage with beeper call evenings and weekends30-minute response time for callSingle-hospital coverage with no commuting between sitesTeam-based model supervising 2–3 operating rooms with experienced cardiac CRNAsOne dedicated cardiac room and one general room (occasionally two)Case mix includes cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and electrophysiology procedures (TAVR, Watchman)No transplants, trauma, obstetrics, or pediatricsApproximately 200 open-heart cases annuallyAnesthesiologists perform transesophageal echocardiography for open-heart casesDedicated anesthesia technologists and strong collaboration with cardiac surgeons and cardiologistsQualifications:Board Certified or Board Eligible in AnesthesiologyFellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesiology preferredEligible for Illinois medical licensureProficiency in transesophageal echocardiographyCompensation & Benefits:Base salary of $650,000 annuallySign-on bonus availableEmployed physician positionComprehensive benefits package including paid time off401(k) retirement planProfessional liability insurance with tail coverage
