Job Description /n NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita
family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages
with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses
and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based
settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and
therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for
infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and
Veterans. /n Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm /n Starting salary:
$61,000-$66,000 /n Sign on bonus: Up to $5,000 /n CEU yearly
stipend: Up to $3,000 /n Paid licensure renewal /n Paid employer
lunch /nSUMMARY /n Administers physical therapy treatments to
patients and works under the direction of and as an assistant to
the Physical Therapists. /n ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS /n To perform
this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily
perform each essential function listed below: /n /n - Assures all
program participants receive scheduled PT (Physical Therapy)
treatments and documents therapy session or reason for inability to
attend. /n - Performs active, passive and/or resistive therapeutic
exercises, general therapy principles on program participants. /n -
Performs therapeutic massage on program participants as needed. /n
- Performs general mobilization and/or passive stretch to program
participants, within LIMITS OF SAFETY regarding joint/muscle
stretch. /n - Instructs, motivates and assists program participants
in learning and improving functional activities. /n - Provides gait
training and instructs program participants in the use of canes,
crutches, walkers, braces and splints. Trains program participants
at homebound and community level, including endurance training /n -
Measures ROM, length and girth of body parts, vital signs, and MMT
(manual muscle tests) to assist Physical Therapist in evaluating
program participants and/or to determine the effectiveness of the
program plan /n - Confers with staff members and other health care
members to exchange, discuss and evaluate program participant
information for modifying and coordinating current treatment
program and participate in treatment planning with
trans-disciplinary team as requested. /n - Ensures adherence to
accreditation standards, licensure standards, professional code of
ethics, and confidentiality. /n - Demonstrates knowledge of
indications and contra-indications of physical therapy modalities
and techniques. /n - Asses PT equipment and has a good working
knowledge of physical therapy equipment and therapeutic exercise
treatments. /n - Performs other duties as required. /n /n /n
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES /n None Required /n Minimum Knowledge
and Skills required by the Job /n The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required
to perform the job: /n /n Education and Experience: /n /n - High
School Diploma or equivalent /n - Graduate of an accredited PTA
program (Must have passed exam). /n /n Certificates, Licenses, and
Registrations: /n /n - Current PTA license in the state of work. /n
/n Other Skills and Abilities: /n /n - N/A /n /n Other
Requirements: /n /n - N/A /n /n Physical Requirements: /n /n -
Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of
