Position In the role of Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you
will operate under the guidance and supervision of a licensed
Physical Therapist to execute treatment plans aimed at helping
residents restore or maintain their mobility, functionality, and
independence. Your responsibilities will include delivering
hands-on therapy, educating patients and their families, and
assisting the rehabilitation team in providing top-notch care.
Primary Responsibilities Implement treatment plans as directed by
the supervising Physical Therapist. Support residents with
therapeutic exercises, gait training, and activities to enhance
functional mobility. Observe residents’ reactions to therapy and
promptly communicate any changes to the Physical Therapist. Provide
education to residents and families regarding exercises,
techniques, and the use of assistive devices. Accurately document
daily treatments, progress notes, and outcomes in compliance with
regulatory and organizational standards. Work collaboratively with
physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language
pathologists, nurses, and other team members to ensure coordinated
care. Adhere to all relevant state and federal regulations.
Qualifications Current licensure or certification as a Physical
Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of practice. Graduation from
an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Experience in
long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation is preferred.
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational
