Overview

The Stroke Registrar/Clinical Educator is a Registered Nurse (RN) who assists the Stroke Coordinator with stroke data abstraction and coordinates clinical education required for providing care for stroke patients and critically ill or injured patients. The Stroke Registrar/Clinical Educator is responsible for assisting the Stroke Coordinator with the maintenance of the stroke registry for Conway Regional Medical Center, and any pertinent regulatory agencies. The Stroke Registrar/Clinical Educator will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas, and the policies, procedures, and standards of Conway Regional Health System. The Stroke Registrar/Clinical Educator will collaborate with the Stroke Coordinator, Trauma Program Manager, and ED management to carry out the functions of the Stroke program, upholding clinical practice guidelines developed via American Stroke Associations' Get with the Guidelines, Arkansas Department of Health, and University of Arkansas of Medical Sciences (UAMS) Institute for Digital Health and Innovation (IDHI). The Stroke Registrar/Clinical Educator demonstrates a commitment to teamwork through effective collaborative efforts.

SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:

This position is a designated as "Safety Sensitive Position" under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.

Qualifications

* Registered Nurse with current, active license to practice in Arkansas required.
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred. Must complete BSN within 4 years from hire date.
* Unit specific certification, preferred
* Basic keyboarding skills, preferred
* Three (3) years Emergency Nursing experience, with at least one year in a leadership role preferred.
