Job Description Job Description Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1 years Behavior Therapy experience. This full-time position in Dover, DE, offers an opportunity to apply specialized skills within a K-12 educational setting serving students with severe disabilities and autism. The role focuses on supporting behavioral needs across a varied age group, from 2 to 22 years old. The contract extends through the 20252026 school year, with work scheduled Monday through Friday for 37.5 hours per week. Key responsibilities for this role include: Implementing de-escalation techniques and participating in crisis intervention teams Conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to identify factors influencing challenging behaviors Developing and updating Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) tailored to individual student needs Collaborating with educators and other team members to integrate behavior goals into Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Supporting consistent data collection and analysis to monitor behavioral progress Providing guidance and support to school staff and students regarding behavioral interventions and strategies Qualifications and desired experience: Active BCBA certification with verification of current licensure/certification in Delaware Experience working with individuals with severe disabilities and autism within a school setting Familiarity with behavior assessment tools and behavior intervention strategies Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams This position requires on-site presence to engage fully with students and school teams. The start date is immediate, with the contract concluding on June 12, 2026.
