North Austin) About the Role A heavy construction company we're
working with is adding a Fixed Asset Manager to own the asset
lifecycle for a large, fast-growing, capital-intensive operation.

Setup: Fully onsite, Monday-Friday in North Austin Compensation
Target: $100,000-$140,000 base ~15% annual bonus (DOE). Employment
Type: Full-time, permanent. Reporting Line: Into the Finance
leadership team. What you'll do Own the asset lifecycle end-to-end:
planning, capitalization, in-service tracking, maintenance status,
transfers, impairments, and disposals-backed by airtight
documentation and auditability. Fixed asset accounting & close:
Lead FA subledger, roll-forwards, CIP/WIP to in-service,
monthly/quarterly close entries, and GL reconciliations; ensure
accurate mapping to financials. CapEx governance: Track spend vs.
approved budgets; partner with Project Management, Operations, and
Procurement to drive timely project closeout and capitalization.
Depreciation & valuation: Set/useful lives and methods by asset
class; run depreciation; monitor residual/salvage assumptions;
recommend changes based on utilization data. Property tax
coordination: Work with external property tax partners on
additions/disposals and timely filings; manage assessments and
billings. Physical verification & audits: Lead periodic inventories
to validate existence, location, and condition; resolve
discrepancies and strengthen controls. Policy, controls & tools:
Build and maintain GAAP-aligned fixed asset policies, workflows,
and controls; drive process improvements and system enablement
within the company's ERP. Decision support: Analyze utilization,
maintenance economics, and replacement cycles; advise leadership on
repair-vs-replace, dispositions, and capital planning. What makes
you a strong candidate Must-Have (Required) Heavy, capital-asset
environment experience (e.g., heavy construction , industrials,
manufacturing, logistics, utilities, or similar). Fixed asset
accounting depth : CIP/WIP, in-service, transfers, impairments,
retirements, depreciation methods, and audit support. ERP
proficiency with a large system (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or similar)
and strong Excel (lookups, pivots; comfort with modeling/large data
sets). Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance/Business (or closely
related). Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with
Ops/Projects/Tax and to translate data into actionable, concise
recommendations. Onsite availability in North Austin (this is fully
onsite ). Nice-to-Have (Preferred) Industry experience in heavy
construction , heavy equipment/fleet, or multi-site operations.
Experience coordinating property tax filings and assessments.
Process build/scale experience (policy writing, control design,
system implementation). CPA or progress toward professional
certification. What success looks like (30/60/90) 30 days: Document
the asset landscape, close calendar, CapEx governance, and key pain
points; align on policy gaps and quick wins. 60 days: Deliver clean
roll-forwards, standardized capitalization checklists, and a
reconciled physical-to-books sample; cut cycle time on project
closeouts. 90 days: Present a utilization/maintenance insights pack
with recommendations on dispositions/replacements, and a roadmap
for automation/tooling. Why this opportunity Real ownership: You'll

schedule Onsite, North Austin (standard business hours, M-F). Some
site walk-throughs/yard checks as needed for inventories and
verifications. Compensation & benefits Base: Targeting
$100,000-$140,000 (commensurate with experience) Bonus: Target ~15%
