Job Description Job Description We're hiring a data-driven accountant for an integral position on our team. You’ll keep our general ledger up-to-date, ensure the accuracy of our financial information, and use QuickBooks for tracking. Candidates should be experienced problem-solvers, well-organized, detail-oriented, and time-efficient. Compensation: $75,000 yearly depending on experience Responsibilities: Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial statements Manage payroll duties to ensure employees are paid on time Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger Perform bookkeeping duties: Maintain data on financial statements Make sure accounts payable/accounts receivable are processed efficiently Prepare corporate and partnership business tax returns Prepare business financial statements, including the income statement and balance sheet, using QuickBooks Cashflow and Budget Analysis Qualifications: Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) 2 years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a bookkeeper, cost accountant, management accountant, or similar position Experience with Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems Must have 3 or more years of experience in accounting or a related field Ability to solve problems using critical thinking skills Understanding of the payroll process and how it works Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred Must be located in the United States About Company Denman, Hamilton, & Associates, CPA, PLLC is an accounting firm committed to meeting the needs of those we serve.
