Job Description Position Overview/n /n The Internship position
reports to the Manager of Quality, Training & Process Engineering
for the Arkansas Kraft Division. This person will provide support
throughout the mill by collaborating with various parts of the
organization to optimize process systems through improvement
projects that enhance safety performance, reduce costs, raise
quality, increase production efficiently, and minimize downtime. /n
This position will provide an accelerated development platform,
exposure to a wide array of manufacturing processes, supplier
development experience, customer service/technical service
exposure, and a broad overview of career opportunities available
within Green Bay Packaging. /n /nResponsibilities/n /n /n - Work in
a team environment. /n - Participate in group problem solving
activities, statistical data analysis activities, and facilitate
the establishment of operational best practices. /n - Provide
leadership to maintain and improve safe working conditions and
maintaining good housekeeping practices. /n - Identify and complete
immediate, short-term projects while maintaining a focus on
long-term initiatives that support the Mill’s strategic vision. /n
- Participate in the development of operational training materials.
/n - Strive to maintain a knowledge base of the products, services,
and capabilities of Green Bay Packaging. /n /n /nQualifications/n
/n /n - High degree of self-motivation and able to work without
daily direct supervision. /n - Pursuing an undergraduate degree or
certificate in Chemical engineering, Mechanical engineering,
Electrical engineering, environmental science, accounting,
electromechanical technology, Accounting majors, Environmental
Science or Engineering – instrumentation, or engineering physics;
would consider other technical degree programs. /n - The Intern
should be a rising junior or above; other levels of education may
be considered. /n - Superior verbal and written communication
skills and the ability to effectively deliver and reinforce
consistent messages at all levels. /n - Must be able to effectively
troubleshoot, communicate, and utilize the resources of the Company
to minimize process problems and waste. /n - Serve as a resource
that removes barriers and helps our front-line employees excel in
all aspects of process improvement and variation reduction. /n /n
