• Hybrid capabilitiesJob DetailsWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Staff Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team in the non-profit industry. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial information by performing month-end closing procedures, preparing journal entries, and reconciling general ledger accounts. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or Senior Accountant and possess excellent communication and analytical skills.Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Perform month-end closing procedures, including preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and maintain schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accruals
  • Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Assist with the annual audit process, including preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as neededQualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited university
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or Senior Accountant
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
    • Experience in the non-profit industry is preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
    • Excellent communication and analytical skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
